For Spring 16, Gucci displayed an eclectic array of prints on the runway including a number of standout Oriental prints. From Pre Fall 16, Dennis Basso showcased a collection with bold statement prints based on a similar theme. Amalgamate the two together, and you have the building blocks of a beautiful trendboard. I adore this take on the 'Oriental' trend, thanks in part to the distinctive prints which are actually not overpowering due to their calming and sophisticated colour palette. The floral's need not be pretty, this is not a twee print trend, the beauty comes from the diverse mix of unusual flowers put together in an interesting way.
